This is a standard DataMiner application that can be used as is, with minimal configuration. It will receive regular upgrades to improve the user experience. You can also obtain a copy to customize to your requirements, but such a custom version will not receive automatic updates.

Effortless management of media operations

  • Multi-domain SDN controller for LAN and WAN IP multicast, SMPTE ST 2110, SMPTE ST 2022, SDI, ASI, L-band RF, etc.
  • Dijkstra algorithm for optimal media transmission route calculation
  • Automated configuration of media senders, receivers, and fabric, whether directly or via vendor controllers

Flow Engineering operates discreetly in the background, orchestrating the successful setup of flows between senders and receivers in the network. Through precise path calculation, execution, and documentation, Flow Engineering ensures optimal performance and reliability in media operations.

Path calculation: Utilizing advanced algorithms, Flow Engineering calculates the shortest path between the source and destination of a requested flow. By analyzing the elements and physical connectivity within DataMiner's DCF database, Flow Engineering determines the most efficient route for data transmission.

Execution: Once the optimal path is calculated, Flow Engineering communicates with all elements along the path to initiate flow setup. Through standardized messaging, Flow Engineering coordinates with connectors to ensure seamless configuration and establishment of the flow on underlying products.

Documentation: Flow Engineering maintains detailed records of path calculations, providing valuable data for monitoring and analysis purposes. By documenting flow paths, Flow Engineering enables operators to track flow status and performance, facilitating efficient troubleshooting and optimization.
