[reliable]
Infrastructure Engineer

empower our users to reach their full potential

Nice to meet you!

Are you ready to leave your mark on the world? Because we are the global leading supplier of end-to-end open monitoring and orchestration software for ICT, media and broadband platforms. Basically, our software platform—called DataMiner—makes sure that you can order your products online, watch the latest episode of your favorite show, or call your friends whenever you need them.

We’re looking for an Infrastructure Engineer

As an Infrastructure Engineer, you’ll ensure that DataMiner operates at its best by prioritizing reliability, performance, and security. You will collaborate with colleagues across teams to uphold best practices and maintain top-notch service quality. You’ll actively engage with diverse technologies (OpenSearch, Cassandra, Elasticsearch, etc.), learn continuously, and contribute meaningfully every day.

SOME OF OUR USERS

DataMiner is deployed by 1500 companies in over 125 countries worldwide.

Let’s get down to business

A glimpse of.your [future]

Transparency is a key value here at Skyline. So let's forget about empty job titles or colorful descriptions for a moment and take a look at what you'd actually be doing here.

  • You will install our core software and third-party databases on customer premises, taking care of all the necessary configuration.
  • You will perform upgrades and migrations of customer infrastructure.
  • You will solve any issues that arise during the process, or triage and pass the issues to third-line colleagues as necessary.
  • You will be on standby or perform requested activities.
  • You will develop action plans for complex infrastructure activities and follow up on their execution.
  • You will provide excellent customer communication during activities.
  • You will assess and diagnose complex technical problems.
  • You will participate in post-incident reviews to identify and help implement improvements.
  • You will stay up to date on the latest DevOps technologies and best practices.

What skills.do you require?

Let's dig a bit deeper into the various technical skills you'll need to get started as an Infrastructure Engineer.

  • Knowledge of TCP/IP (firewalls, routers, etc.), multithreading, web services, .Net Remoting and Wireshark
  • Experience with HTML, XML, client-server systems, and SNMP
  • Knowledge of OpenSearch and Elasticsearch would be an advantage, but full training will be provided
  • Strong affinity with MS Windows operating systems
  • Some knowledge of script languages is an asset

Your [competencies]

You'll be working in a highly technical environment prone to constant change and evolution. On top of that, you'll have to collaborate with a great many (marvelous) people. All very exciting! But it also calls for a special kind of mind- and skillset.

  • You have excellent problem-solving and diagnostic skills.
  • You have the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • You think logically and are customer-oriented.
  • You have strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • You have the ability to remain calm and focused under pressure.
  • You have good verbal and written communication skills in English.
