A glimpse of.your [future]
Transparency is a key value here at Skyline. So let's forget about empty job titles or colorful descriptions for a moment and take a look at what you'd actually be doing here.
- You will focus on Ecosystem & Channel Development - recruit and activate System Integrators (SIs), engineering firms, and OEM/hardware partners.
- You will build joint offerings with partners that can be inserted into municipal and utility RFP cycles.
- You will define and prioritize subsegments (utilities, energy assets, mobility, water/waste, environmental monitoring, municipal infrastructure).
- You will own the full opportunity lifecycle for early deals—from shaping scope to negotiation and close.
- You will build a repeatable pipeline and deliver partner sourced targets.
- You will work closely with Product Marketing, and Solution teams to provide structured feedback on market requirements.
- You will support content for events, partner briefings, and industry programs.
- You will drive documentation of use cases, wins, lessons learned, and scalable patterns.
- You will work together with the Sales Account Managers and Directors daily to move people from the top of the sales funnel to being signed customers.
- You'll report to the Global Sales Leadership Team.
Your [competencies]
You'll be working in a highly technical environment prone to constant change and evolution. On top of that, you'll have to collaborate with a great many (marvelous) people. All very exciting! But it also calls for a special kind of mind- and skillset.
- You have 7 to 10 years experience in Energy, Utility, Smart City, Industrial IoT, or related infrastructure domains.
- You have a proven track record in channel and ecosystem development (SIs, OEMs, engineering firms, or hardware vendors).
- You have experience with zero tone business development or launching new verticals.
- You can structure market-entry tactics, playbooks, and partner frameworks from scratch.
- You have a network across utilities, municipalities, EPSs, engineering firms, DMU-Smart Ecosystems, or IoT hardware ecosystems.
- You are an ecosystem & channel builder, you understand how to combine hardware vendors, SIs, and end customers into unified solution plays.
- You are a hunter & market evangelist with a strong aptitude for early-stage prospecting, educating new markets, and identifying unarticulated opportunities.
- You understand the Smart City & Smart Ecosystem market - the operational, stakeholder, and commercial dynamics of Smart Cities, Industrial Environments, Utilities, Facilities & Venues, and Transportation Hubs, including how these markets evolve, adopt, and scale digital transformation solutions.
- You have a commercial & funding awareness and understand budget, procurement, and investment realities behind Smart City and infrastructure programs.
