SHOW HIGHLIGHTS
HOW DO YOU MIGRATE YOUR DOCSIS PLANT SEAMLESSLY INTO THE D3.1 ERA?

To support higher broadband speeds, many cable operators are upgrading their infrastructure to DOCSIS 3.1. Some operators start small, using the existing HFC plant, others go for a complete upgrade of the plant and home networks to support higher frequency bands up to 1.2 GHz, at the same time migrating to distributed access architectures based on digital fiber links. This transition, often implying the use of multi-service converged interconnection network (CIN), also entails an operational transformation. DataMiner enables the transformation to be implemented with optimal efficiency and significantly reduced risk, providing end-to-end monitoring of the entire infrastructure, across any device, regardless of vendors and protocols, and allowing operators to track millions of KPIs and KQIs.

HOW CAN YOU ACHIEVE 360° VISIBILITY, CONTROL AND AUTOMATION IN A MEDIA DATA CENTER?

Many technology companies are launching a variety of microservices in order to create and deliver complex services to the customer and consumer. Broadcasters and service providers may opt to deploy data centers of their own (private data centers), to outsource to cloud providers (XaaS), or to choose a hybrid model. In each of these operating models, the complexity of managing service workflows increases significantly compared to on-premises bespoke infrastructures. Learn more about how can you achieve 360° visibility, control and automation in a media data center.

Software-defined Media Networks

Whether you are a network provider, programmer, broadcaster, sports association or service provider, it is very likely that you are rebuilding your media network to make it more versatile, cloud-ready, and flexible to run just about any service ranging from remote production to distribution services. At the basis of the technology transition lies the data plane migration to IP, cloud and virtualization. But those new technologies come with a much higher complexity and only benefits a business when rolled out with an end-to-end workflow orchestration and monitoring platform. With DataMiner, you can turn complexity of the network into quick services launches, higher service and higher uptime. Furthermore, you can leverage cloud capacity and of course, increase operational efficiency.

Media Function Virtualization (MFV): impact on operations

IABM Executive Summit Series, June 3

Migrating media functions to virtualized environments comes with a great many challenges. Operators need to be able to deal with highly dynamic usage patterns, scale up or down very quickly, serve multiple different media workloads, etc. This requires far-reaching automation, orchestration and intelligent monitoring to ensure service quality, availability and performance.
